Is it springtime yet?

This winter has been very long. We had the first snow on the 25th of October last year, and there is still a lot on the ground. We had another 10cm of fresh snow just 3 days ago, but since then, temperatures have been above zero during the day, and from today onward it is supposed to stay above zero even during the nights. We see lots of snow melting - finally!

This is how it looked just two days ago. Today, the roofs are clear :-)

It will take a while though, until the hiking trails are clear. As much as we love the snow, I can’t wait to get ready and find some trails that clear faster than others.

Due to shoulder problems, I haven’t been able to edit new videos or post new trails, but I endeavour to do so more regularly again from now on. First, a few “leftovers” from last season and overseas, and then the new ones, of course.

My next task will be to get new hiking boots, since my old ones are quite worn. It would be great to start the new hiking season with new boots.

In the meantime, I kept baking and creating all sorts of new things with berries, so the book is coming along nicely! Here are some examples:

And if you like the videos, please give a like and consider subscribing - that helps me a lot to build up that channel. Thank you so much!

If you come to visit Sweden, do so in late summer/early autumn - then you will be rewarded with lots of berries! When I am out hiking here, there are at least blueberries and lingonberries on most hikes. Occasionally, you also get raspberries and wild strawberries (smultron). And, if you are really lucky and know where to look, you can even find the elusive cloudberries (hjortron).
